The crimes at Penn State, which should have been stopped as early as 1998 and 2001, were able to continue until Sandusky’s conviction last month of 45 counts of child sexual abuse against 10 boys.

Tomorrow the results the results of Penn State’s internal investigation into the Sandusky crimes are set to be released in a report that should answer many of the troubling questions still lingering about one of the worst scandals in sports history. This team of investigators was led by former federal judge and FBI ex-director Louis Freeh. This report should shed a light on the mistakes that allowed Jerry Sandusky to continue his abuse for so many years. We can only hope that this sad and shameful case study will lead to better insight and definitive action in future cases.
